I see the color purple as an emerging trend in interior design. No longer relegated to the rooms of tween girls, it is popping up in stunning dining rooms, living rooms, master bedrooms, and powder rooms as a modern and sophisticated choice. Purple ranges from very soft gray with a hint of purple, to lavender, lilac, amethyst, all the way to deep plums and aubergine. The combination with Chinoiserie is amazing - purple is especially wonderful with blue and white Chinese porcelain. I also love it with Chinese red and coral. This is one of my favorite tablescapes ever, from the January/February 2013 Lonny. With its red, white, and blue color scheme, I think it would be great for a non-traditionally traditional Fourth of July table. The focal point is the tablecloth in Brunschwig & Fils Gillian S Zebras. This fabric features blue and white Chinese porcelain, flowers, and zebra figurines on a red background. Red, white, and blue and stripes!

I have gone a little pineapple crazy lately and I think my favorite of all is this pineapple wallpaper by Studio Printworks. It is available in lots of wonderful colorways and in two different scales depending on how bold you wish to go. Here is the larger and the smaller. It also comes in amazing fabric. I especially love the photo above combining the wallpaper with lots of blue and white Chinese porcelain and faux bamboo in a very chic and fun Coastal/Chinoiserie/Hollywood Regency vibe.

I am celebrating my four year blogiversary this coming Saturday.This week I am doing a new fantasy inspiration board each day and on Friday I will be announcing my blogiversary giveaway.

I would love to have this office. It is painted a very soft lavender. The lacquered metal desk is the Large Strut Table in Watermelon by Blu Dot. The art is Paule Marrot's "Feathers." The rug is vintage Fornasetti. On the desk is a Harry Allen gold pig bank and a vintage Chinese lamp with a kelly green silk dupioni shade. The chandelier is by Marjorie Skouras. The canary yellow silk bergere club chair is from Charlotte & Ivy. The pillow is a new favorite fabric - Mandarin Dragons by Design Legacy.
