Many bloggers have posted about how chevron is a trend that is over, but I beg to differ. Chevron is timeless, just as Chinoiserie is. Chevron in art dates back to at least 1800 BC, where examples can be found in early pottery and rock carvings. Just because chevron has been hot the past few years does not mean that its time is over. Moreover, its bold geometric presence makes it a perfect foil to Chinoiserie and they work beautifully together. Here are some lovely examples I have chosen of the timelessness of chevron.
