Mel Gibson Cameo in The Hangover 2 Canceled

Mel Gibson cameo appearance in The Hangover converted 2 into a real headache.

Despite the agreement of the workshop, plans for the player later in the hit comedy was sunk, director Todd Phillips.

"I thought that Mel would have been great in the movie," Phillips said on Thursday. "But I feel cinema is a collaborative effort, and that decision ultimately not the full support of my entire cast and crew."

Phillips has not said who the opening of Gibson, a storm of bad publicity about his personal life, survived it. The rest is just stars Bradley Cooper, Ed Helms and Zach Galifianakis.
